Zan Lowell

Zan (ze/they) is a neurodivergent, disabled queer located in Richmond, VA. Ze has been writing with the intent to publish from a young age and is excited (if not a bit overwhelmed) that day is finally here. Ze loves reading almost anything fantasy, with heavy leanings toward diverse, new-to-zem worlds and perspectives.

Ze received a BFA in Creative Writing in 2012 and a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Sociolinguistics in 2014. Rather than finish zir masters program, however, ze decided to ditch academia life and work with shelter dogs instead. Ze has spent the past decade learning everything ze can about dog behavior in order to help dogs of all kinds and the people who love them.
